About Us
Background
My name is Kenna Miley, and I am so excited to be your virtual tutor. This all started with my love and passion for teaching. Luckily, I have seen great success in virtual learning and it has so many benefits for students and families. I know many other professions, businesses, and lifestyles lend to being away or on the road. This is where virtual tutoring comes in. Even if you do not live a lifestyle like this, you can benefit from virtual tutoring as well. For example, no more sitting in traffic waiting for another place to go! Tutoring can happen in the comfort of your own home. With the benefits and success I have seen through virtual learning, I decided to take my teaching license and love for helping students to the virtual world! I want to be able to create schedules and opportunities for kids that are beneficial to all, no matter the location. I am so excited to work with many students from all around the country!
Expertise
I have many years of experience teaching at all ages, levels and backgrounds. I started being a school age teacher at a daycare, grades ranging from 1st - 5th. I then moved to my student teaching experience where I worked in 1st grade and 3-5 special ed. I then had an opportunity to teach 3 graders in South Africa. 2020 came around and I taught 3rd grade virtually. Following this, I taught 2 more years of 3rd grade in person.

A private tutor involves tutoring sessions that will be personalized to your child's needs. We have a free consultation before services begin to discuss plans, specific areas in each subject that will be the focus and what type of learner your child is. From there, I will develop and gather materials and strategies that best suite your child's learning to bring to each session.
